Welcome to Weera Thai Restaurant in Las Vegas, where our family’s journey from the kitchens of Thailand to the heart of Las Vegas brings the authentic flavors of our heritage to your table. Our roots run deep in Isaan, the culturally rich Northeastern region of Thailand. Growing up, our family shared a love of cooking, with many joyful hours spent crafting traditional dishes together. This passion led our father, Suweera Thonguthaisiri and mother, Sutsawat Promkul to open our first restaurant in Chiang Mai over 40 years ago. Known as Weera Larb Ped, it quickly became beloved for our signature “Larb Duck” (a flavorful blend of ground duck with herbs, lime and chili) and offered Chiang Mai a taste of true Isaan cooking.
In 2010, our family ventured to Las Vegas to bring the flavors we love to a new audience. Led by Peter Thonguthaisiri and his father, Weera Thai was born — a place where the vibrant, authentic taste of Thailand is celebrated daily. With 4 locations across Las Vegas - Sahara Avenue, Chinatown, Rainbow Blvd, and Town square. Weera Thai has become a favorite destination for those seeking an unforgettable Thai dining experience.

Our History
WHAT ELSE DID WEERA THAI BRING BACK FROM THAILAND?
Weera Thai was created from a love of authentic Thai cuisine and a desire to share Thailand’s rich culinary traditions with the Las Vegas community. From our very first location, we’ve been committed to serving food that honors generations of family recipes while creating a warm and welcoming space for all.
Over the years, Weera Thai has grown into a beloved local favorite, known for bold flavors, fresh ingredients and dishes that stay true to the heart of Thai cooking. From fragrant curries and stir-fries to comforting noodle bowls and Thai street food classics, every plate is crafted with care and authenticity.
But Weera Thai is about more than just food. It’s about connection and bringing families and friends together, celebrating culture and building community.

"We are originally from Isaan,
the northeast of Thailand."
We are a family that likes to cook and spend most of our family time together in the kitchen. When we moved to Chiang Mai forty years ago, our father, Suweera Thongthaisiri along with my mother Sutsawat Promkul, decided to open a classic Isaan restaurant. So that the people of Chiang Mai can enjoy authentic tastes from our region." Weera Thai–Larb Ped was established in 1976 and still counting in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
We were known for Larb Duck. Which is ground boneless duck with spices, herbs, lime juice and chili. This is how we named our very first establishment as "Weera Larb Ped." In the year of 2010, Peter Thonguthaisiri and father, Suweera Thonguthaisiri, branched out here in Las Vegas, Nevada and renamed it to become more moderated as "Weera Thai Restaurant."

Weera Thai - Sahara
Our first location opened with humble beginnings. A cozy shop with only a few seats but full of flavors. Locals quickly fell in love with our Larb Ped and other Isaan specialties.

Weera Thai - China Town
We expanded to the heart of Chinatown to serve more guests. The new location brought wider menus and a family-friendly dining space.

Weera Thai - Rainbow
With more popularity came a third branch. Rainbow location added modern Thai fusion dishes and a new look.

Weera Thai - Town Square
This location brought our authentic dishes to a new area in Las Vegas, built like a Thai market-style experience.
